Ghost Network 1.1
Inktober and Drawloween are traditions in the illustration community, where artists are challenged post a new piece of art each day, inspired by a prompt that usually corresponds with the date. These are fun, and great ways to get back into iterating, and I've participated in a number of them over the years, be it on Instagram, Old Twitter, or Tumblr, but unless you've got grander designs, you wind up with a pile of kinda-connected splash art come November 1st.
This year, I've decided to take it in a different direction: rather than have a pile, I decided I'd like to have a pilot instead, for a comic I've been thinking about for a few years now. It'll be about 22 pages long (industry standard,) and a proof of concept for a series that could be, if I wanted to devote myself to it after soaking in it for a month. I've missed cartooning, and have only recently begun to feel confident using Procreate, so this will be not only an intensive for becoming more adept at the program, but also a moment to make something that has kept my head busy while I could be doing other things. So yeah, part exorcism, part practice, part "here's a thing you might like."
Ghost Network is that thing. Here's the first bit, which will be followed by the next bit, and finally the last bit. Hope you enjoy!
