The Quiet March
Undead Gnomes; they're a niche within a niche. A race already overshadowed by other diminutive folk (Dwarves, Hobbits, and Halflings oh my,) and then returned from the grave to boot? How preposterous! How ridiculous! How... utterly charming...
This isn't the first time I've posted about my delightful little gnomes, but it is the first time I've advanced the plot, making models that are not simply out-of-the-box units. To the dismay of many villagers, the Necromancer has acquired a number of monstrously large Armadillidiidae, mounting his trusty skeletal lancers for battle across the quaint fields and shallow bog-graves of the Eastern Mountain.
While undead gnomes are not known for their swiftness (yet) these deaths-head pillbug mounts make for a fearful presence on the fields of battle, with many times the mass of any fox riders the local burgs might muster.
Speaking of things pulled from the muck and the mud, another addition to the undead horde has been dredged up from the murk. In all its tiny glory, a crusty gnomish cannon manned by three grim attendants. I opted to leave out the faceplate to emphasize the bare bones aesthetic this army has.
